Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how OrganicRanker.co.uk ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our Platform. We are committed to handling your data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email address, password (stored securely hashed), and account role (Buyer and/or Publisher).
- Site listing data: for Publishers, the website URL, traffic estimates, Domain Rating (auto-verified via Ahrefs), pricing, and other listing details you submit.
- Order information: content briefs, target URLs, anchor text, uploaded images, delivered content links, and messages exchanged through the order messaging system.
- Payment and wallet information: payments and Publisher deposit balances are processed by our third-party provider, Whop. We do not store your full card or bank details on our servers.
- Google Analytics data: if a Media Partner chooses to connect Google Analytics to verify a site's traffic, we receive read-only traffic figures (sessions, active users) from Google for that property — never personally identifiable visitor data.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and basic usage data collected automatically when you use the Platform, including via cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
- Google Sign-In data: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google to create and verify your account.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and provide access to the Platform.
- To process orders, facilitate payments, and send order-related notifications (confirmations, delivery updates, dispute notices).
- To verify your email address and secure your account (e.g. password reset links).
- To respond to support requests submitted via our contact form.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
- To send occasional product updates or marketing emails, which you may opt out of at any time.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data on the basis of: performance of a contract (providing the marketplace service you've signed up for), legitimate interest (fraud prevention, platform security), and consent (marketing communications and non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time).
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only where necessary with:
- Whop — our payment processor, to facilitate transactions and Publisher deposits.
- Hostinger — our hosting and email infrastructure provider.
- Google — if you choose to sign in with Google, or if a Media Partner connects Google Analytics for traffic verification.
- Ahrefs — we query Ahrefs' public Domain Rating endpoint using a site's domain to verify metrics; no personal data is sent to Ahrefs.
- The other party to an order — e.g. a Buyer's content brief is shared with the Publisher fulfilling that order, and vice versa.
- Law enforcement or regulators, where legally required.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and order data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, subject to our legal retention requirements.
6. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to or restrict certain processing; and request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@organicranker.co.uk.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted password storage, SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit, and access controls limiting who can view sensitive account information.
8. International Transfers
Some of our service providers (such as Google) may process data outside the UK. Where this occurs, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure your data remains protected.
9. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Platform.
11. Contact Us
